Mission
We are a research and development company, specializing
in monitoring the condition of degradable products. Our AgeAlert™ technology tracks the actual degradation state of products and
even predicts remaining useful life.
AgeAlert™ Technology
Thus far, the AgeAlert™ research has focused on PE, EPR and silicone rubber used in wire/cable
insulation applications and tubing/piping.
Because the AgeAlert™ technology appears to work with virtually any polymeric material, potential applications for AgeAlert™ include degradation monitoring for most any product made of rubber, plastic or composite materials; however, further research will be necessary to adapt the technology for many of these applications. AgeAlert™ can even sense the degradation of non-polymeric products if the temperature-related degradation can be modeled.
What do all these items have in common?
They all degrade faster with increasing temperature. Research
conducted at Polymer Aging Concepts, Inc. and Georgia Tech indicates
that patent-pending AgeAlert™ technology should be able
to measure the condition of virtually any degradable product.
Currently, Polymer Aging Concepts, Inc. is collecting market
research on the many areas where AgeAlert™ could be
used to determine the best fit for the next major research
effort; we seek strategic partners for this next research endeavor.
